The National Health Medical Data Center is a government investment group in Yangzi based at the Scientific Innovation Center in Nanjing. It includes a large national data application center and a storage center. The Application Center focuses on gene sequencing businesses. It is the most modern laboratory in China and the largest gene sequencing base in Asia with an annual capacity of up to 400,000 people. The Storage Center has completed the construction of a supercomputing center with a storage capacity of 52 PB and a computing power of 35,000 cores. The People’s Whole Genome Sequencing Program launched at the center is trying to build a unique genetic information database for the Chinese population.
