Euvic plans an investment in Komputronik. The aim is to build an omnichannel IT giant

Grupa Euvic, poprzez wehikuł inwestycyjny Euvic 2030, planuje wejść kapitałowo do Komputronik S.A., jednego z największych graczy na rynku dystrybucji sprzętu IT w Polsce. To kolejny krok w realizacji strategii budowy zintegrowanego ekosystemu IT, obejmującego zarówno konsumentów, jak i segment enterprise.

After last year’s acquisition of Senetic, the Euvic Group is once again betting on the IT infrastructure and distribution market – this time by becoming involved in capital in Komputronik S.A., one of the most recognisable brands in the Polish electronic equipment industry. The Euvic 2030 investment vehicle, co-created with Rafał Sonik, has just signed a letter of intent to purchase and acquire new shares in the Poznan-based company.

It is a strategic move that has the potential to define a new operating model for the IT market – based on comprehensive customer service, from the consumer to the enterprise segment, and combined with an extensive service offering and omnichannel distribution. In this jigsaw, Euvic brings the experience of an IT integrator and service provider, while Komputronik brings commercial infrastructure, a strong brand and operational agility. The goal is to create Poland’s first IT holding company with an offer covering the entire value chain: hardware sales, financing, implementation, service, outsourcing.

This is not only an expansion of Euvic’s portfolio – it is also an attempt to build scale, which can provide more favourable purchasing conditions with manufacturers, as well as increase bargaining power with technology partners. Euvic’s total revenue in the hardware segment exceeds PLN 2.5 billion annually, and adding Komputronik (which is growing steadily after restructuring) is another step towards consolidating the fragmented IT distribution market in Poland.

From Komputronik’s perspective, the investment primarily means access to new capital, EU institutional customers and the partner’s technology and know-how. This can significantly accelerate the implementation of a strategy based on omnichannel and digital transformation. For Euvic – it is a platform for further development towards an integrated IT solution provider model.

It is worth noting here that this is Euvic 2030’s second investment in a WSE-listed company. This may signal a long-term ambition to build a listed ecosystem of IT companies with complementary competences – and perhaps a harbinger of greater consolidation in the sector.

In a market that increasingly places a premium on scale and synergies, Euvic and Komputronik seem to be playing for more than just growth – they are playing for influence and leadership of the new order in Polish IT.

“We remain firmly committed to a growth strategy based on acquisitions. At the same time, in order to be able to grow further, we are looking for ever greater scale, and this is provided by, among other things, such investments. With revenues of PLN 2.5 billion from the area of supply and service of equipment, we are becoming an important partner for manufacturers. Komputronik fits into the image of the business we want to develop. The company has survived a difficult time for itself. It is operationally strong, effectively adapts to the changing market by investing in new technologies, improving its processes and effectively managing costs. An additional advantage for us is its presence on the WSE, which provides potential for future possible consolidation.” says Wojciech Wolny, CEO of Euvic S.A.

“I am pleased to have convinced entrepreneurs who understand the specifics of the market and the nature of our business very well of my vision and business strategy. We speak the same language and business-wise we are looking in the same direction, which opens up a lot of common opportunities and possibilities for us. We are back on a path of growth and dynamic development. The family retains control of the company, while gaining great partners who will support us on our way to success.” says Wojciech Buczkowski, President of Komputronik S.A.
