Baseig is completing testing of its AI platform for e-commerce and is moving on to a stage which, for a young tech start-up, is usually more challenging than building the product itself: widespread commercialisation and acquiring paying customers.

Baseig AI integrates data from sources including sales, CRM, warehouse systems, Google Ads, Meta Ads and Google Analytics, and then uses AI agents to analyse results, plan campaigns and optimise advertising budgets. The company reports that testing has enabled it to reduce marketing operating costs and streamline decision-making processes. However, it has not provided detailed figures that would allow for an independent assessment of the scale of these savings. The platform’s open beta began on 1 July.

Baseig’s immediate goal is to increase sales and begin actively acquiring customers in the US later this year. This is a large-scale market: according to the Census Bureau, US e-commerce reached sales of $340.2 billion in the second quarter of 2026, 12.2 per cent higher than a year earlier. Online retail already accounted for 17.1 per cent of total retail trade.

Baseig’s development strategy also aligns with the growing use of AI agents in retail. Shopify reports that in the first quarter, traffic driven to shops by AI increased eightfold year-on-year, whilst the number of orders originating from AI-assisted searches rose nearly thirteenfold.

For Baseig, this represents a favourable market moment, but also rapidly growing competition. The value of the project will now be determined not by the scope of its features, but by its ability to scale sales and retain customers. Additional support may come in the form of the proposed PLN 14.1 million in funding for an R&D project worth over PLN 20.5 million, although the award of these funds is not yet certain.
