DataWalk cements position with US Department of Justice

Maintaining the trust of the US Department of Justice is the most difficult test in the GovTech industry, which DataWalk has just passed, extending its presence at the heart of US financial investigations. The continuation of cooperation under the MNF program confirms that Polish graph analysis technology has become a cornerstone for federal investigators in the process of quickly connecting scattered intelligence data.

In the world of surveillance and analytics technology, where the battle for government contracts can be as brutal as the investigations themselves, Poland’s DataWalk is proving it can hold its own at the table with the biggest players. The extension of its partnership with the US Department of Justice (DoJ) is not just another stock market announcement, but a signal that codeless graph analytics is becoming a standard in the most high-profile federal investigations.

Under a multi-year contract awarded to Research Innovations Incorporated (RII), the DataWalk platform will remain the heart of the Search and Investigative Flexible Toolkit (SIFT) system. It is this environment that supports the MNF programme, responsible for combating money laundering, drug trafficking and asset seizures. What is key for investors and GovTech sector observers is that we are not dealing with a new, uncertain implementation, but a continuation of the relationship initiated in 2019.

DataWalk’s strength lies in eliminating a bottleneck that has crippled intelligence agencies for years: data silos. Traditional investigative methods often require months of work by analysts manually combining information from different jurisdictions. DataWalk’s solution allows the integration of billions of objects from dispersed sources, offering results in minutes. As CEO Pawel Wieczynski notes, the technology is designed to transform fragmented data into actionable reports for decision-makers, an invaluable asset in US federal structures.

From a business perspective, this agreement is embedded in a broader framework (Blanket Purchase Agreement) worth $500 million for investigative technologies. For a publicly listed company, a regular presence in the DoJ ecosystem is a certificate of credibility that opens the door to more national security agencies in Europe and the US. In an age of increasing complexity in financial crime, the ability to quickly ‘connect the dots’ without the need for an army of developers is becoming a competitive advantage that allows DataWalk to challenge giants such as Palantir.

Moving from NewConnect to the main floor of the WSE, the Wrocław-based company is successfully monetising unique technology in a sector where entry barriers are extremely high and security requirements are the highest possible.
