The first quarter of 2025 was a clear sign for the yarrl Group that the chosen strategy of diversification and technological specialisation is bearing fruit. The company increased revenues by 31% year-on-year, reaching PLN 22.5 million. All business segments were profitable, with an average sales margin of a solid 15%. Importantly, operating liquidity also improved, with cash flow from operations being positive for the first time in several quarters.
The software development and construction segment is responsible for the greatest growth, generating PLN 14 million, accounting for more than 60% of total sales. In the background of these results is not only organic growth, but also the successful landing of several strategic contracts – including with PKP Intercity and Critical Applications, with a total value of over PLN 30 million. This not only boosts the value of the portfolio, but also strengthens the company’s credibility in the eyes of the public sector.
Noteworthy is the product debut of the AISEMA application, an AI solution supporting Horizon Europe fundraising. It is a tool with export potential, developed jointly with the Łukasiewicz-ITECH institute. While the real monetisation of AISEMA is just beginning, the project fits yarrl into the growing trend of building added value at the interface between AI and the public sector. It also opens the door for the company to the growing market for grants and R&D consortia in Europe.
Against the backdrop of a stabilising IT services market in Poland – after the investment slowdown of 2023 – yarrl shows that a differentiated business model and effective contract execution can translate into real growth. The challenge remains scaling the business without losing margins and increasing recurring revenue at the same time, but the foundations – both financial and technological – look solid. If AISEMA finds recognition outside of Poland, yarrl could emerge from its role as an IT subcontractor and join the ranks of companies that define the directions of digital transformation themselves.
