In July 2025, Paweł Mączka – co-founder of the company and former CTO – took over as CEO of Storware.
Storware is one of the few Polish manufacturers of backup and data protection solutions that successfully competes globally. The company offers independent, universal software for the backup of virtual machines, containers, Microsoft 365 applications or Linux environments. Storware’s customers include organisations from more than 100 countries, and the products integrate with solutions such as Red Hat Virtualisation, Proxmox, Nutanix, OpenShift or Kubernetes.
From CTO to CEO: technology at the heart of strategy
Paweł Mączka is the co-founder and previous CTO and VP at Storware, having built the company from the technology side with an emphasis on a visionary approach to data protection and virtualisation. He has many years of experience in the area of virtualisation (including KVM, OpenStack, Nutanix AHV). In addition to his activities at Storware, he is also involved as CEO and advisor at SocialCube and other technology initiatives. Now taking on the role of CEO, he combines in-depth engineering knowledge with business vision.
